Kathi lived in the Philadelphia area for most of her life, just a few miles from Andrew Wyeth’s home, where she worked as a professional artist, high school art teacher, and graphic designer. Her artwork has been in numerous shows throughout Pennsylvania, winning awards for painting, graphic design, sculpture, and photography. After retiring from teaching, she was selected to create and operate a museum gift shop in Eagles Mere, PA.
Two years ago, Kathi moved to the South Mountains of Burke County, North Carolina where she has become an active member of the Catawba Valley art community. She was awarded an honorable mention for her watercolor entry in the 2013 Open Art Competition at the Rock School in Valdese and was asked to have a solo exhibit there, which she did in December 2014.
